If anyone prints the release form, will they print a few extras. I don't have easy access to a printer.

Spanx.

Hey Everyone,  if you are interested in paddling the Chelan Gorge please sign up online here http://www.chelanpud.org/7077.html - http://www.chelanpud.org/7077.html
We dont have enough people signed up currently,  still need a few more!

Ok guys, I'm posting this because I've talked to a few people that have a couple misconceptions about the Chelan releases.

You must sign up online prior to Saturday morning. If we do not have six people signed up with Kris at the PUD, there will be no release the following day, regardless of how many people say they will show up Saturday morning.

The lack of interest that is being displayed by the kayaking community is going to be included in this year's report on the recreational viability of the Chelan Gorge. This lack of interest could manifest itself in the form of fewer (if any) scheduled releases in the upcoming years. I have spoken to a few people who have said "I'll get on it next year..." There might not be a next year. If you are at all interested in boating this gorge, you need to do it this year.

As I put out in my email, this is every bit of class V when you look at the consequences involved in missed lines and a lack of safety knowledge. That being said; you can easily walk every single rapid. I am more than willing to show solid (but nervous or unsure) boaters down this run. We will be safe and have a great time!

Even if you are not looking to boat this weekend because BC is too far away of the Truss or Tumwater are too low, come out and show your support of the boating community at large. Show up and boat the release so that others have the option to boat it in the future.

I hope to paddle with you on Saturday!

4 drops in 3 hours ain't bad. AW has put in many years fighting just for these releases.

JP, the Meat Locker was in full effect today. Entrance Exam was handin' out the big smackdown, too. A groan would rise from all who watched the paddler coming down, throwing the dice as they nutted up for that bottom hole!! Fish had the line of the day though. He ran it first and I don't think he even got his PFD wet. Hot as hell in there. Great day!!!

Cool, dude. I actually talked to him after postin above n he said you stomped Double Slide.

Yeah, The Chelan Gorge is a unique offering for WA- I would think it's worth showing up for to ensure we have it available to us. Unfortunately I got other stuff goin on- I'd love to go back.

What you callin the Meat Locker? The bottom o Double Slide?

Any action at the Throne?

The Meat Locker is the right line of Double Slide where the main flow goes. I've been thinking about that drop since last year. I got pasted on the Throne rock for a couple seconds, no biggie. Worked off of it and rolled up in the eddy.

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported the release! We had a nice size group of 11 kayakers on Sunday.   The last release of the year is in 2 weeks, and there is no guarantee of future releases, so come out an experience the gorge if your able.

I'm excited to see some of the media from Sundays run, folks went big!

What? You gonna watch that sh*t from your mobile phone while you're on a surf board DOWN IN MEXICO?! Lucky bastard!!

Another release in two weeks, huh? Hmmm. Not sure yet but suddenly it's looking like I just might be able to go. So if I can, I probably will.
