I will be in Wilsonville tomorrow on business and thought I may stop at Bob's hole on the Clakamus for a park and play session. But, the river is at almost 7K! So, does anyone know if it will be good at high levels or should I reconsider? What could possibly go wrong, plus I will be alone...

7K is really high. Bobs will be washed out or just some big fast waves. There would be some monstrous waves at other places. 1500-2500 is what you want for Bobs.... at least that was the case when I lived in Oregon, but it's been a looong ass time.

Ya, its been around 10 years since I was there for a rodeo. I guess I will have to wait till it comes down a bit...

Still a very fun big-water run at 7-10,000cfs. There are a couple epic waves if you can catch them but mostly it's just a really fast, big flush. Worth doing if you are down here and pretty safe to solo.

At the current lelvel, 4700. she'll be Ok - td flushy, but Joe Bobs on River right comes in from this point up and is more friendly and very dynamic lately.  If either is in, you will most likely not be alone mid-late afternoon.  FYI, there is a flood warning issued down here today due to the massive amount of rain expected, so I would not be suprised if the Bobs blow out over night.

I will be working in Oregon more and more next year, so Bobs hole may be a regular stop for me after work. I may even camp out there once in a while instead of staying at a hotel in Portland when working.
