After having lived in Colorado for the last 6 years, my lady and I are finally headed out to the PNW (tired of a 9.5 month winter).  It looks like our ship is landing in the Bellevue, Redmond....slightly north or west(no actual house as of yet, but a job based out of Woodinville)  Been doing a fair amount of research on rivers etc, but still haven't found much on Playholes/waves in the area.  I am praying to god I don't have to drive an hour or so to reach one.  Both of us are avid Kayakers, she is more a class II-3 boater, and I like running IV just beginning class V (currently no creekboat).   Anywho, I would love any information regarding playspots in and around the area, and look forward to meeting some of you.

Dood, you picked the best spot to live. You are within 30 min drive to the Middle fork of the Snoqulmi, 45 min to FITW (creek run), 1 hour to the Cooper (creek run), 45 min to Green Gorge (class IV), The Powerhouse (workout run) no shuttle needed and alot more. You will see when you get here. Colorado rocks too! I spent a year boating there. Lived near Clear Creek.

hello!
I am a class ii and just starting on iii. Very raw at reading water but, I can follow most lines if they are clean. got my roll, and its been tested on some class iii combat waters. would love to hook up with your partner in the future. I am almost always heading out to the powerhouse gym on mon and tues. unless something else comes up. have her give me a call or message me. most people have weekends off, but.....for an after work run...it's possible. we can always discuss other runs as well, just depends on avail. welcome to the area!

I too will be starting to hit the Power house gym during the week after work, now that all our water is going away!

Same here.  Although the Sky still has enough water in it for another week or two.  But then it's back to the good ol' Powerhouse!  I'm free most week days after 2:30.  Hit me up if anyone is in need of a paddle buddy or to assist with newbies (time to pay back my river karma to all those who helped me when I was new!)    I'm going to be ramping up my # of weekly paddles in the next few months so I can break 100 days on the water, so gimmie a call anytime!
 
I too landed here in Duvall after living in CO (Winter Park) and WA is GREAT!  D4, how can you leave out the Sky on your list of great local runs??  Boulder Drop Goodness!!!!!!!
