Anyone up for a thursday evening run?

Preferably someone who knows the run since I still haven't run it yet!  Not for lack of experience, it's just that every time I get a chance to go, the level jumps or drops so much that it's not runnable.  (For those I haven't paddled with, I've run BD x4 and haven't joined the swim team..yet, so I'm pretty comfortable with bigger, techinical water).  Give me a call, or join the trip.  Hope this goes!

Jeff,

I might be able to go but unfortunately won't know until about 1pm tomorrow.  It's all up to if Jimmy can skip out of work early to let me get out of here on time.  Can you take your boat with you tomorrow morning and check PP after 1pm tomorrow?

a buddy of mine and I are going to be on the MM demoing a boat tomorrow after work.  5:30 sounds about right.

So, you're "pretty comfortable with bigger, techinical water" huh... too bad you don't need it for the MM!!!

It's pretty darn boring until >3000 cfs.  A good wave at the beginning and small catch on the fly waves and holes.  Besides that nothing spectacular or challenging.

Maybe we should me at the take out rather then the put in.  Easier to shuttle that way.  Oops.  Anyone planning on showing up, give me a call and we can coordinate.

Jeff, I'm still waiting to hear from Jimmy if I can go or not.  If I can, I'll meet you at the take out at Tanner at 5:30.

Ryan, as for the river being boring below 3000?  Well that's a matter of opinion.  Everyone skills are different and everyone like's different types of water for different reasons.  I've personally found that those that like to run the rapids straight down think it can be borring at low levels but those that like to work the river hard still find it fun and are even challenged at times, even down to 800.

Ah man, I knew I was going to get crap for saying that.

It is an opinion and I just have a beef with the MM.  It's a great run and super close.

If I don't have anything nice to say I won't say anything at all.  Starting now. haha

The middle middle sucks?

Sorry I agree ryan, I used to love that run, but after the recent floods ravaged the poop chute and fliped my splat rock, I gave up hope and decided that it was not the run for me.

Hey Jeff and Ryan,

I'll most likely be out there too with Josh.  We were thinking about hitting it a little earlier but given our track record we'll probably be ready at around 5:30.

First of all, the MM does not suck!
It's a great workout run with many little play spots and waves. I do miss the poop shoot though. Also It's colse to home, wich is a bargan for a great workout and a beautiful landscape to enjoy. You guys are just to hooked on class V stuff!

Ha, ha, ha, ha.........  That's a good one Jimmy!  My eyes hurt on the way home from straining to see in the dark.

So Jeff, I was in such a hurry to get on home last night that I forgot to ask you how you liked the river?  It appears that it was running around 1700 when we were on it.  More water would have been nice but I'm glad there's wasn't anymore since we couldn't see for the last part of it.  Darkness makes for an interesting run.
