A message from the Parks to Parks Guild, who sponsors a swim across Lake Washington to benefit Seattle Childrens' Hospital:

We are in need of kayakers, canoeists, outriggers, jet skis, ski boats and large vessels to serve as volunteer safety boats for the swimmers as they cross Lake Washington during our fundraiser on Sunday, August 28th. Volunteers are covered by event insurance and will receive a free breakfast and event t-shirt. Last year's event raised $12,000 for uncompensated care at Seattle Children's!

The event will be held on Sunday, August 28th, and starts at 7:30 am. The swim is from Matthew's Beach Park in Seattle to OO Denny Park in Kirkland.
