I just saw this video posted to a friends Utube account. Great cooper footage. If you don't have alot of time fast forward to the end. There is some beat down action at norms resort. Not sure who the boaters are but they executed the exact move you don't want at Norms kinda like what you were mentioning brian. I think the move is called plug into the meat, to beatdown to plug into your buddy in the meat to beat down, to double swim and yardsale.

Looks like some good rescue work there Kurle.

I think the first guy, it was his first time down the Cooper; second guy said he didn't have the optimal line and was thrown off by the beatdown in progress... good times. Who has run Cooper without getting stuck at Norms once in their life? :)
More water, please.

I have yet to swim out of Norms and I would prefer to keep it that way. The second guy said "he was thrown off by the beatdown in progress" that's hilarious. I wouldn't want to boat in front of that dude. Were you there Rdawg? If so how many bootie beers were accumulated by the end of the day?

Good for you, Jimmy. I was in the area but not on that lap. I don't know that those were his exact words, just that having the other guy there complicated matters..
More water, please.

man, that video really makes missing the Cooper this year sting worse. After getting it 4 seasons in a row, it was too high, I was alone, and the road was snowed in when I swung by this year. Maybe next season....

no doubt James.

you should hear the audio from that clip. starts off with "oh sh!t, i dont have a throwbag, do you?" then mostly laughing mixed with some less than creative four letter expletives. Damn good carnage. everyone was fine though and having a ball of a time after that.

Btw, Lief does not sport a Habitat anymore.
