Okay volunteers,
I need you guys to commit to a task. This should be a pleasant task. All of them involve hanging out on the Sky on what should be a beautiful day. Just respond with your preference, followed by your second preference, followed by your third preference. I'll match up the volunteer with the task, so that way, we don't have to scramble on race day to fill these much needed positions.

UPRIVER RACE:
Timers (1)—requires you to walk down to Split Rock (kayakers' take-out) find a the start/finish line and press start on the stop watch and call out times and racers' numbers to scribes.
Scribes (2)—requires you to walk to Split Rock take-out and write down times as timer calls them out.
Rock judge (1)—requires you to paddle or walk upstream from Split Rock to the bottom of Aquagasm and ensure that competitors reach specific spot on course.

DOWNRIVER RACE:
Communication I, Start line—Requires you to ensure all timers can communicate either with cell phones or radios and start the race.

Line judge, Start line—Requires short hike down to Cable Drop, line up paddlers with slowest boats in front, fastest boats in back. Blow whistle to start race (bring river whistle).

Timer, Leg I—requires you to scramble down to pool above Boulder Drop with stop watch and radio. Must sync up communication with Communication I.

Scribes (2), Leg 1: At pool above Boulder Drop, scribes write down times of racers as timer calls them out.

Timer, Leg II—requires hike down below Fishermens and calling out times of racers. Sync up radios.
Scribes (2), Leg II—hike down below Fishermens, write down racers' times.

Timer, Leg III—Drive down to finish line at Big Eddy, call out times/numbers of racers. Sync up radios.
Scribes (2), Leg III—Drive/ride down to Big Eddy, write down times.

BOULDER DROP SPRINT:
Line judge/communication—Prepare racer for run, communicate with timer at bottom of course.

Timer (1)—Scramble or paddle down to top of Boulder Drop. Call out times/numbers of racers.
Scribe (2)—Write down times of racers.

So, again, please choose one or two of these responsibilities. Let's get this finalized BEFORE race day.
Catch your eddies,
Christian
