   Topic: Wenatchee Rodeo

In a little over a month (June 9) the Wenatchee Rodeo will take place. Hopefully you all are out practicing your moves on something other than flatwater. I'd really like to see some of the local talent (all levels) represent. Check out the link for a little more specifics on the rodeo itself. And as further enticement to get you over to the Wenatchee--if the water isn't enough--there will be a party with lots of beer and some great gear for auction including boats.

Not sure why Sybille did not do it herself. She asked if I had a login and I do so it was purely a favor for a friend. I am personally not a member of the WKC so no delegation was involved. Did I do something wrong? It seemed like a valid post.

Seems valid to me - great fun and proceeds go to AW. I can't think of a more worthy cause. Wenatchee Fest isn't a WKC event. It's "sponsored" by WKC and AW in that they've stepped to the plate to try and organize a whitewater paddling event in Washington. Of course, it's also sponsored by SRK, Jackson, Keen, Alcoa, WaveSport, Dagger, Kokatat, LVM, etc. (Gotta like Alcoa in that list...)
But club-phobics should rest assured. WRF isn't a WKC event. It's a community-wide paddling event that embraces commmercial, non-commerical, kayaking, rafting, canoeing, teaching, racing, rodeo, recreation, gear-swap, gear sales, drinking, eating, club members, clique members, and even a monarchy or two. The more the merrier.
As for Sybille, I don't fault her one bit. She's doing a lion's-share more than most to make this event happen. Good thing she knows how to delegate. Wish I could do it more...

No misunderstanding... Just being my occasional good natured SA self while shamelessly promoting WRF - as did you while giving Nick a bit of tongue-in-cheek schist for not copy & pasting an active link then doing so yourself. At the same time I thought I'd give Sybille the kudos she deserves for busting arse so I can paddle all day and have a party awaiting me at the TO.

The reason Sybille delegated the post is simple; She is travelling and has been without a computer since Thursday evening. She is one of the most positive proponents of kayaking I have ever met and works tirelessly to help people less fortunate than most of us. Sybille rocks. We should all be so selfless and willing to change peoples lives for the better.

KTW, I'll be throwing the moves from the bank. I've found that it's hard enough to get the event organized and moving along well without adding the pressure to compete. Just my personal limits of what I can do. Of course I'll probably do some pre-comp playing on Friday so you're welcome to join me then.
James, it isn't baiting. Just getting things back on topic. Which in a way illicits more responses. I would chalk up the "baiting" title to Leif if you count the responses to his comment.
