   Topic: North Fork Of The Skykomish

I talked to a local today. They informed me that Snohomish County is planning on locking a gate which would be north of the existing homes.
It was reported to me that only residents? were going to be able to get a key.
They also have to sign a waver to obtain the key.
There is supposed to be meeting in Monroe on May 1 2007.
There are are two gates that could be locked, one below rooster tail, and one well above bear creek falls.
This would mean portaging BC falls, Drumbeater, and Rooster Tail then taking out somewhere below the washout.

I hope we can run b-4 they put in the gated community, Has anyone seen Bear crk scense the flood ? I might check it out tomarrow. I guess I should watch out for locals with guns... That's everywhere though !!

They closed the gate today I drove over jacks pass w/ Rik and sure enough the gate was being locked up. Futher mucker's ! We did get too see a bobcat though. That was wicked cool. Does someone know a locksmith????

If anyone talks with any NF locals we should explain to them how it would be to their benefit for us to be in there. It is simple math. We don't want any of their stuff, we just want to run the river. In addtion, we could act as a sort of 'patrol' while we are in there; i.e. eyes and ears. Just a thought.
