For those of you that live down south of Bellingham and have missed out on kayaking this classy little creek, now is a great time to make the drive North.

Due to our fat, rain charged snowpack, CW (see-dub) -as we call it- has been popping in an out of the flow range with some predictability lately. I suspect the next few weeks will be see lots of optimal flows.

As far as the creek goes its in decent shape with a couple pieces of wood here and there but nothing you have to get out of your boat for.

Flows: 850-1400 on the MF Nooksack guage = scrapy but almost 4+ish -fluffy and you better know where your going class 5.

Maybe if your lucky (or you bring up some good beer with you) you can talk someone who knows it into showing you down. (Highly recommended!)

I'm actually thinking of driving up to B'ham tomorrow to pick something up.
Prediction says MFN @ 900cfs. It'd be fun to get a CW run in, or maybe just the lower canyon. Leaving Seattle at 230 if anyone wants to drive up.

Fun day on the Lower Middle Fork Nooksack. Three of the locals learned that at 680 the lower two holes in Leap of Faith are especially sticky. Awesome run in a beautiful canyon.
Thanks Don for rallying up there with me.
I am now the proud new owner of a Prijon Tornado!
