Topic: Wenatchee Sat. or Sun? Posted: 20 Apr 2012 at 9:27pm |
Anyone up for a Wenatchee run Saturday or Sunday? I could meet at 11. I'm hoping it comes up above 4,000. Courtney

We'll be there for an afternoon run today (2 or so), and 11 tomorrow. Unless we're talking about Tumwater, in which case I'll take photos.

I'd like a little bit more info please. I haven't done this stretch so I'm wondering what we are getting into. I haven't even been to Wenatchee. I guess there are several areas of the Wenatchee we can run. What stretch are we running and where is the take out? I'll be in my play boat and I can handle class IV in it. I'm totally down for a carpool. I'd be happy to help with gas. If I drive I'd greatly appreciate help with gas as well. @nelsonwoods, PM me your phone number and we can discuss carpool.

Hey. I guess you'll be running Wenatchee tomorrow? It would be great to see you there. I ran the upper green and I guess the flow was about 3k+ and it was awesome.

It's a class III stretch of water, usually considered big water, but it's going to running on the lower side tomorrow but still fun. It's the Wenatchee play run from Pashastin (just east of Leavenworth) down to Cashmere Park (further east in Cashmere). I'll be at the park at 11am. I think there might be a chance that there is still some road construction on Hwy 2 so leave yourself plenty of time to get there. Last week they had it down to one lane near Boulder Drop on the Sky. Also, if you park at the put in you'll need a fish & wildlife pass. I can't remember if they take the Discover Pass or not. Courtney

Courtney:
I would love to join in on this run. I will be at the Cashmere Park (takeout) at 11AM.
I will be driving up from Seattle downtown in a Mercury Mountaineer. Happy to give someone a ride.
Looking forward to it

I live in Leavenworth and was hoping to get out tomorrow. I'll meet at the park at 11.
As for parking passes I believe you need the discover pass for rodeo, roadside above rodeo is free, dryden dam is free (I think), and not sure about the one in Peshastin above rock n roll.
See ya tomorrow!

I have a fishing pass, a discover pass and a NWFS pass so some can ride with me and I can park at the put in. I figure with all those passes one should cover it. Courtney

Thanks for the fun run guys! We'll see if this next bump in water does any more damage to the rock at drunkards.

I could go for the day on Saturday, but have family stuff to do on Sunday. Anyone just going for the day Saturday? We could carpool...
I should add, that I am not interested in the class V sections, just the play section on the big W as I am completely out of shape and fat now...

You need a discovery pass if you want to park in certain spots. The longer run most people do is to park at the peshastin put in which requires one.
