Anyone have plans, or want to make plans for either of these? I'd kinda prefer the Green cause it's closer, but whatever works. Thanks!

I'm plan to be hittin up the Green this winter a bit, but currently I'm waiting for flows to get up to 1400 or more. Likely I'll settle for 1200, but I find sections of it to be way too junky below that.

When all that scratchy cobble is covered and there are fluid lines, I'll be seen on the Green. PM me and get my number, Grinch. I have a feeling I'll be on the Sky less and out on the Green more.

Grinch - 800 is pretty low for the Green. In two week I will be out there at just about any flow to fish through the upper and lower gorge but I would not be there for whitewater untill 1000+ cfs.

Oh and BTW to anyone that is interested Coho on the Green are busting a move right now and the numbers will get better for the next week or two. Up in the gorge they are starting to color up pretty good, but down below they are still nice bright fish.

probably just super low yo yo runs. Those are less of whitewater and more about enjoying a moving river.

We were running the lower gorge. I might be headed that way tomorrow. It's really not too bad in there at these levels. Sure it can be a bit scrapy but the couple of really good surf spots are worth it for me.

Mr. Grinch, sorry I didn't get your message until too late last time, maybe I screwed up my phone number..it's
218 290 1834. I'm waiting to see if I can get anyone together for an afternoon run tomorrow and I'll post a trip if I do.

We're thinking about a Sky run but not sure what time will work for us yet.

Awfully early to be up on a Saturday, eh? (pot calls kettle black)

We are planning on meeting at split rock at noon. Can help with shuttle later if there are multiple groups.   Jim

Haha, we had a crack of noon club back east for our staple cl IV run, too. Sounds like there will be lots of us on the water, and a beautiful day to boot!

Hey there Mr Grinch and other perspective low water Lower Green Gorge paddlers.

For those who hate low water runs, quit reading now. It may only make you go blind or possibly cause your head to explode. I don't want that on my hands.

For the rest, the Green is a really nice run down as low as 400cfs. It is a little scrapy here and there, but the main rapids are all there and several sweet surfing spots show up, complete with eddy service. It's not big crashing whitewater, but it is still class II-III and it is one of the more scenic runs near Seattle. Nice rock formations, large pot holes(not that kind of pot), columns, giant arching overhangs, mushroom shaped rocks, etc... very nice.

Meeting at 10:30 today(Sunday) at Flaming Geyser State Park in the picnic area, the furthest upstream area you can park in.

But how can you swing three laps when they shut the water off at two!?

Crack'o noon club was for Bulls Bridge.

Three laps on the Dryway would leave little to no time for play.

Nice to meet you and so many other great people on the river today!

Good to meet both of you too!

Oops, I mistakenly assumed the dryway since that was my staple. There's plenty of time if you're lozering it up in creekers and long boats. :-p
