Great photos!!!!!
I understand it would be a beastly effort to get my boat up there, but what do you guys think of the possibility of small catboats like mine doing that piece??
Eskimo pie looks sweet!!!!
Are horses allowed on that trail??

James- Will do.
Mike- Awesome trip, well worth the brutal hike. The photo with the rope was a portage. Same spot that they portaged last time. Seive on left, pinched down log-choke into a table rock on right. Maybe runnable with a LOT more water. I wasnt gonna mess with it.
Franz- Dunno your pain threshold man. Its pretty tight in there with a lot of wood.

Franz- While the GCE has some amazing rapids you could run, the majority are very tight with little or no portage options, not a friendly place for cats. You know i'd call you and the Beckers for a mission if i thought you could get down it safely Mike- Dan, Brian, Joe and I hiked up Saturday afternoon and camped at the put in, paddling out on Sunday. This is the best way to break this trip down. Landslide is now class 3, you can see the old pics of me "swimming it" back in 05'. it looks nothing like that now. GCE changes every time i go in there, new wood is in play, even from my last trip 3 months ago. The level we had was a perfect medium. Thanks for a great B-Day trip boys!

I guess I will just have to man up and get back in my kayak if I want to see that piece. I haven't really kayaked in a couple of years other than the Sky a couple of times. My foam for my Stiletto is so dried out I have never felt a foam floor that weighs so little. i got to get that thing painted. Maybe I should man up and get a roll....

So pardon me for glossing over any text that may answer the question- but --- How was "Scott's Scramble" a.ka. "SpiderFish"? (yeah-the hairy portage around the drop that had the wood in it) I didn't see any pics of that one...

The portage was a lot easier this time at 900 cfs, i was able to get out onto the rock with no problem. It's pictured 3rd pic from the bottom (one with the throw rope in it)
