Topic: Would like to demo Fluid Flirt (2005 if possible) Posted: 26 Nov 2009 at 11:14am |
I have found a 2005 Fluid Flirt I want to buy, but it is stranded in Utah. The seller's car has broken down and he will take the bus back to Washington. He said that if I want him to, he'll pay the extra handling to bring it back with him, but otherwise he'll try to sell it in Utah.
I haven't paddled any Fluid boats, but having read a great number of reviews, I think this may be the boat for me at this stage of my development. Does anyone in the Seattle area have a Flirt I could try out in the next few days? If it is a 2005, all the better, but I'm hoping to at least put my butt in a Flirt before I commit to buy this one, or wave it good-bye.
Thx,
Duane

The Flirt for sale is a small, but even trying a medium would be great. Fluid Spice in either small or medium may also be good to try.
I weight 165, right on the top end for the smalls. I would be using this boat to run rivers too so I'm interested in people's input on whether I should wait to find a medium (140# to 210#) instead.
Thx,
D

I'm still looking to try out a Fluid Flirt (medium) or Spice (also medium) if anyone north of Portland has one I could even sit in.
I know Next Adventure in Portland has a Spice, but I don't want to drive that far to demo a boat.
Thx,
D
