I recently moved to the Seattle area and am looking to get back on the river after almost a year off. Is anyone running any class 2+ - 3 rivers near Sammamish tomorrow (Saturday)? I would like to meet up with kayakers in the area. Thanks.

I believe that would be the Middle Fork of Snoqualmi or the Green area. Sammamish is around Isaquah, right? You could also do the Sky, it is always running.

Not sure if the MM or Green will come up for the weekend, but I am hoping, as I don't feel like driving anymore this weekend. I already drove to Lynden and back this week....uggg..

Actually, I just noticed the Sultan is coming up. That would be a fun play run if it comes up to 800 or so. But if you haven't boated in a while you may not want to get in there, because Last Nasty can chew you up a bit or worse if you are not prepared.

Yeah- plus Last Nasty dosen't look easy to portage (but I'm not very familiar with it- only ran it twice).

Mancarss22-- welcome to the area. Yeah, Dave's rigth: you want to be hitting up the Middle  Middle Snoqualmie, the Green, or the Sky. those are the closest runs to the Seattle area for II+/III- whitewater.

How near Sammamish? The II+ section of Canyon Creek is running, it's about an hour away.

Jimmy and I are going to hit Big Eddy on the Sky this morning with our son.  We're meeting at 10am at Big Eddy.  You're welcome to join us.
