Big Eddy followed by Sky. 11 at Big Eddy for that run, 1:30 at Split Rock for the Sky.
The Big Eddy run is there to give less experienced paddlers a chance to get out on the river, but please check the levels and weigh them against your ability. If you have a shakey roll AND minimal exposure protection please consider the risks.

What's big eddy like?
I ran this section of the sky last monday at about the current level. Took a good swim through lower boulder drop after getting worked pretty hard in the hole below Ned's Needle.
How does Big Eddy compare?
I think the Sky run might be too late for me since I have to work Sat. Night.

Big Eddy is a little bit easier than boulder drop.
On a scale of 1-10
1 being watching tv
10 being building a tv
Big Eddy would be a 2

Correct, even at higher water Big Eddy is a totally different animal then the main Sky run. Although it will be faster and bigger then when lower it has few obstacles to avoid (a hole here and there) and does not exceed III-.

Looks like I will not be there after all. I have done big eddy at higher flows, and I got invited to fdo my first real run on the Middle Middle. Thanks for the invite though.
