  Access

Super easy off the Highway 2.

Heading east on Highway 2, turn right on NE Old Cascade Hwy (look for the sign for Money Creek Campground). This turn off is a couple miles west of Skykomish.

You'll immediately cross a bridge over the SF Skykomish river.

Follow Old Cascade Hwy about a mile and then turn RIGHT on Miller River Road. Almost immediately turn RIGHT again onto Money Creek road.

  Putin Details

As far up from the bridge as you want to go, we went about 2.2 miles following with the Bennett book.

  Takeout Details

The first bridge over Money Creek on Money Creek Road.

4 wood portages on 10/31/2012; most of the fun stuff was clean. Possible to scramble down from the road to scout most of the run. - Posted by: TomMarley on 11/1/2012 10:58:00 PM -  [Remove Alert]

WOOD

Run Description [Season: Seems when other stuff in the area is high]

This run looked decent from everything we could see from the road. It surprised us with wood around every blind corner almost not visible from the road, which combined with the few eddies made it an interesting run. Be prepared to spend a lot of time portaging.

Besides the wood, there is a double weir hole feature early on that will sneak up on you (cannot see from the road). Even the strongest boater in our group walked this.

The one notable fun rapid is the constricted ledges where it steepens up notably that you can see from the road. The other good part was the longer stretch of fun boogie lower down that you can also see from the road. Difficult to enjoy as your constantly on your toes for wood though..

Very scenic. If you fire it up and it's clean let people know as it wouldn't be bad all cleaned up. With the quality of runs in the area this might be one best left low on the list.
