   Run Description

This run starts just below Moulton Falls... or just above if you're feeling adventurous. Moulton slams into a nasty undercut at low water and has some huge hydraulics at high water. Take a look and decide.

This run is a bit of a mixed bag. It is pool-drop and has some long flat sections, and a variety of class 2 and 3 rapids spread out over the run with just a few harder rapids. LaLonde's drop is the first significant rapid, a straightforward 4 foot ledge.

Below here the next major rapid is below Hantwick bridge in a narrow gorge. You can check it out on the drive up. This rapid packs a real punch at some levels. It drops over a big ledge into a huge hole/wave combo and then the river squeezes through a very narrow channel. A little ways downstream is Lucia Falls. Portage on the right through the park. The falls is class 5 and likely has been run, but running the falls is prohibited by park rules.

Below Lucia there are more pool-drop rapids including one the best on the run upstream from Heisson bridge. It's a long class 4 boulder garden that can be easily scouted on the drive up. Below Heisson the river has a few more rapids, and then slowly mellows out to a scenic float with views of some beautiful riverside homes.
