Easy, bridge to bridge. At put in it's easier to put in at the campground than the bridge itself.

From Takeout Bridge:
1) Drive NORTH on W. CHEWUCH RD for 11 miles to National Forest Campground "Camp 4".

Put in anywhere in the camp.


  Takeout Details

From Winthrop:
1) Drive NORTH on RIVERSIDE AVE. which becomes Bluff st. .2 mi
2) Bluff street becomes E. CHEWUCH RD. .4 mi
3) Follow E. CHEWUCH RD. for roughly 4 mi
4) At Fork you can see Bridge to the LEFT

  Other Issues

Man made weir above take out. Has channel on river right to sneak.


  Fun Facts

Would be a good section to take little kids on if you put in at Chewuch Campground and took out at Falls Campground. It's mostly flatwater in this stretch, is wood free, and is scenic. At lower to medium levels I imagine there would be some really nice beaches.


   Run Description [Season: Spring]

Mostly flatwater, with a couple of quality class III rapids, a long class IV above 2500 cfs above the weir. At 2700 CFS we ran this and the last rapid has few eddies and a few blind corners.

Above the take out there is a man made weir that has a sneak channel down the right, scout the weir on the before you run shuttle from river left just upstream of the bridge
