A heads up for all users and folks interested in the happanins around here.
Next week several of the moderators that have been approved are going to meet to walk through the tools, and functions for moderating these forums. We are also going to have a technical portion of the meeting where I will give a bit of instruction on the admin tools for keeping the community running smooth. How does this affect you?
Every so often to keep our database clean and smooth we remove usernames that have never posted and have not logged in for over 1 year. This frees up names and space helping the forums run faster. So if your a user that has never posted and not logged in for over one year and you still want to keep your account, just log in and you will be excluded from the query.
Next is PM messages. Over 5 years of operation have taken place and we have never once removed PM messages from the database but that is starting to take it's toll. So we are going to do a mass removal of all PM's that are over 1 year old. So if you have PMs you want to keep. you best make a copy.
This meeting is next Tuesday so there is plenty of time. After our meeting we will officially welcome the moderators listed below into action!!!
