We the Harms' family have closed on our first home!  It's like hitting the jack-pot of sorts.  We are pretty stoked to call Index our new place of residence.  We look forward to sharing the change in venue with you various members of this paddling community.

Located just a few minutes walk from town, 2nd house on the left, on Index-Galena road before you get to Skyko.  Big green house with white trim, close to the road (hard to miss).

Now, if anyone knows of anyone looking to rent a place out here in Gold Bar- there will be a cabin coming up for rent in Big Bend.  IT's a tiny spot with thin walls and a hardcore landlord, but serves up a decent spot for a take-out.  Our lease is up June 13, so let us know if there is any interest.  We have been forking 985mnth, which seems pretty hefty for a rental in todays financial environment.

Anyways, thought I'd pass on the good news.
Come out and say hi sometime!

Mike,

Big Time Congratulations ... Home ownership is a blessing and a trial. Enjoy the finer moments of both. I will certainly swing by and say Hi. Now there is plenty of room for Judah's siblings !!!!

Very excited for you guys.  Glad it's all said and done now.  Kind of bummed that we're putting in at your house and not taking out, but I guess I can't complain.

Yo ... thanks for all the well wishing and congrats.  It's been great fun getting into the work of making it 'ours'.  We've started painting, something I've been looking forward to doing for many years ( a curiously latent passion rediscovered- not :)
All the excitement we have as a family is tempered by a healthy dose of realism associated with accompanying increases in responsibilities and obligations that come with homeownership (most of which I'm not even familiar with yet), as those of you who 'are there' would know something about.  Anyways, its a good feeling to drive a stake into the ground as a symbolic gesture of a little something more permanent, at least for our family.
At anyrate, looking forward to what the future may hold... which for me maybe a bit of a hiatus from paddling, at least till we make the transition.

That's respectable, Mike- Just remember that The Sky at least only takes two hours out of your life (or less, if you want it to). So don't stray too far away. remember that you may need a sky-fix at the very least no and then just to balance things out- it will revive your energies which you will need to deal with the other stuff. Happy for you and your family!
