My Dagger Ocoee canoe was stolen from my house 3 years ago. Recently, it turned up on CL. Unfortunately, the boat is in very high demand, and the ad had already been removed before I could contact the guy....

If you have any information about this boat, please contact me.

Thanks,

Chipper

Call the police immediately, a friend of mine got a stolen bike back from CL.

Not 100% positive, but I think they can trace his IP even...

there is a cboats.net post about it. Open boats in WA is the thread and it's in the for sale page.

Chip,

I am curious, how were you able to identify it as your boat? I am not questioning it was your boat, I am just curious what you saw that made you able to pick it out.

Unfortunately I run into this all the time at work. The original investigating officer forgets to ask about identifying marks and just focuses on the serial number. Then the owner finds their property and we can't do anything because it wasn't documented before hand.

Pat (yarnellboat on Cboats) has been helping me with some canoe questions and seems like a pretty good guy. If you contact him he might put you in touch with his friend who bought it.

I'd suggest getting some friends together and pull an OJ Simpson.

I can identify it because I installed all the outfitting, from the knee pads and the northwater footcups to the saddle and the bag cages....

In any case,

I FOUND THE BOAT!

It's in Canadia, and hopefully I will retrieve it in the next couple of weeks!

Thanks for everyone's help,

Chipper

Chip,

Let me know if I can help out. I am getting my weekends back this week, so I could meet the guy in Bellingham and run it down south when I make the inevitable Sky or Green trip.
