I located the owner of the paddle that I found on the Sky a few weeks a go, and now I have to ship it back to them C.O.D.  It is going up to Kamloops, B.C.  Anyone got any ideas/experience with this?  Any info would help!  Thanks!

Get a few card board boxes used for Floresent light bulbs, wrap the paddle in carpet foam or bubble wrap then fit the card board around it and tape it up.

Use any Parcel Service such as FedEx or UPS ect...

A while ago I shipped a forgotten helmet with greyhound.

Cheapest way is to just wrap the blades in cardboard, leaving the shaft exposed.  That way the measurements fit under the oversize shipping size which costs extra.  I've done it that way a few times and just dropped it off at the post office.  Haven't had trouble yet.  Do a search on Boatertalk on this - they talk about it a lot there.

Thanks for the info.  Fiddleyak, how did you ship with the "Dirty Dawg"?  The people I'm sending it to suggested that as well, but I don't want to go to the skeezy part of town and just throw the paddle at a bus driver (or fend off a wino with it).  I'm sure there is some process.  Can you elaborate?  Thanks!

I just brought the helmet to the front desk and gave it to them. They take your info and the name/number of the person who will pick it up and pay for it.

Every paddle company out there ships UPS or FedEx to your friendly local paddle shop. Call the shop and ask if they have any boxes lying around. Way easier than having to make up your own box.

You can do the whole shipment at ups.com and give the box to any UPS driver.

Easy stuff. Sorry I didn't see this til now. bw
