Spring season is approaching and its time to brush up on river rescue!  Abigail Polsby of Sierra Rescue is one of the best rescue instructors around.  This is the 5th year they have done an SRT with the University of Puget Sound, and as always, it is open to the public!  I strongly recommend this course if you spend time (or plan on spending time) on the water this spring and summer.  Its good to brush up now; you never know who's life you might be saving...

Course Details

Dates- Friday March 21st 5-9pm UPS Campus Howarth 212 (we probably won't end that late and if you have a conflicts just call and we can chat about being here for just part of the evening session).

Saturday and Sunday- March 22nd-23rd - Cedar River in Landsburg, WA

Cost- There are two certifications available this weekend.  One for those folks who really are interested in becoming professional rescuers and those who are there as paddlers or just wanting the information, skills and a certificate to add to resume.

Rescue 3 certification-for prof rescuer - $350 for non-student
ACA certification-for paddlers, etc- $225 for public.

This will be a huge water year. This is a great way to get your had back into boating for the spring. It never hurts to learn a few new skills.

I took this class last year with Sierra Rescue and it was a great class.  Learned lots of new skills and unfortunately, even got to use a few of them.
