Wednesday, January 23rd, 7pm, Seattle REI.

Mick will be hosting a screening of his documentary, Exploring the Mother of Waters: Source to Sea on Mekong, the story 142-day first decent of the Mekong from Tibet to the South China Sea.

REI calls it one of the most dangerous rivers in the world... Sounds interesting...

In case you haven't seen it, the Seattle REI is right off I-5, the Denny Way/Stewart St. Exit.

My boy Hutch Brown shot a lot of that film and it is a great video. It shows a lot about how the river effects the people around it and how China's actions regarding the river will in turn have an effect on those people.

Plus, who can argue with paddling an entire river, all the way from top to bottom, source to sea? Talk about neat.
