So having finished my stressful first term of grad school hydrology, with depressingly little on hands studying, I am headed down this wknd to the Southern Oregon Coast for xmas at my parents place. This just so happens to be about an hour to 1 ½hr from a lot of the CA Smith runs. Anyone interested in joining me next on the Smiths? There are some true classic jems. The NF is one of the prettiness fun runs you'll find.

I did have some local paddling hookups down there in the past, but since I have been gone for a while, not sure if they'll be around. Drop me a line if you are interested, or you know someone I should contact down there to hook up with.

I'm from Arcata and have a ton of buddys down in that area that go paddling on the Smith on a regular basis. If you want their numbers give me a call or shoot me an email.

Paul, that would be awesome. My parents live in Gold Beach so I go down there a couple times a year to visit, but rarely manage to hook up with any of the locals. Lots of time I end just taking my kayaking out surfing with friends from there. Can you email me there contact info at kristian_mickelson at yahoo.com?
