I'm not sure, but I think the chat function on the site no longer exists..?  Do no one use it, or am I just missing something?  I just missed a perfect opportunity to use it:
 
Jonathan:  Dude, James, what's up?
James:  Hey man, I'm freezing my ass in WA in front of my computer.
Jonathan:  Oh, too bad you're not in Costa Rica.  Its 90 degrees... I'm going boating.
James:  I hate you.
Jonathan:  Thank god for PP chat.  Making close friends closer...
