Where do I take old kayaks to recycle them? I have two old Jackson 4Fun kayaks, one is a shell and one is outfitted, that have cracked hulls and I need to get rid of them.
Option 1: Drive down I5 with the tailgate down and let them fly out (probably a bad idea)...
Option 2: Have a really hot fire and smoke out the neighborhood (another bad idea)...
Option 3: Let them go down the Green Gorge at next high flow (bad idea)...
Option 4: Give them away for free to anyone that will come get them (good idea)!
Option 5: Take them to dump(Bad for landfill).
Option 6: Find a recycling place that will use them (good idea).

Bury them in your backyard and tell neighbors they are your inlaws (Bad Idea)
Cut in half and use as very large planters (Good Idea)
Cut holes, install a motor and sell them on Ebay as Scooter Yaks (Best Idea)

If you don't know where you are going, any road will get you there.

I have two first gen Jackson 4 funs. One is outfitted and one is a shell. They are yours if you want them. Let me know and I will pm my address or can meet or something.

Otherwise I am going to dump them on James's property and he will never know...

Update, I took a sawsall to them and chopped them up then dumpstered them. Its amazing how fast a Milwalkie sawsall can chop up a kayak!
