Out on the Ohane yesterday. Flow was 1230 (felt a bit low, but still good - not too manky). There was a log jam at the first 6' ish ledge after the put in rapid.

The s-turn rapid after chunky monkey had a log blocking the exit of the rapid right after the diagonal hole, it was river wide. Pretty sneaky and couldn't really see from the top. We managed it well, but be ready for it. The rapid directly after that had some rocks move around as well....probably would have looked different with more water.

There was some more wood here and there.

Next new/shifted wood was in the pinch rapid that comes up before summit creek ledge. There is some wood on the left towards the bottom when lining up for the move. We didn't see it from above when scouting, but found it when we walked a little further down. Probably okay at higher water, but worth the scout; especially if you're on it any lower.

The next major change is the sneak on petrified. Most of the flow is being diverted to the sieve versus going down the sloping rock to the right (at the end of the rapid). Just be aware of it as it was a bit spooky. You can't tell that from above scouting....again, may be different at higher water, but definitely consider running the meat line or portaging if you're at the same or running a lower level.

There's quite a bit of random wood in there too and some rocks have moved around. Just make sure you take some time to scout. Between the multiple high flows this winter and the wind, stuff is changing.

Overall it was still a lot of fun and worth it, but it wasn't the quick Ohane lap we've come to know and love.

Be safe out there and feel free to share on the relevant FB pages as I don't have an account.
