509'er that is looking to do a quick overnight trip on the Sky once there is a bit more water. Any recommendations on camping spots?

You can camp in Index below the "Town Wall" where all the rock climbers camp. It's free camping, but can be busy at times and there's typically a port a potty. There's nice little spots right near the river, but I personally wouldn't leave any gear there unattended. You can also free camp up Beckler Road which is a little drive East of Index. There's a campground up there too, but you can free camp along the road. I've also camped up Money Creek road...there's a campground there too, but you can free camp up the road from there (beware of traintracks if you want a good sleep). Hope this helps :)

Yes, but the camp is before that on the river side of the road....it's pretty obvious :)

Are you talking about overnighting out of a raft or kayak or just coming over and car camping in the sky valley?

Just coming over to camp. An overnight on the sky would be a fun!

I think an overnighter on the Sauk would be pretty cool too! Better camping/easier coordinating of gear and camp :)

There is a good spot up the Rapid River at the very end of the road. I have camped/slept in my car there a couple times and never seen anyone. It's quiet and away from the RR tracks.

I second the rapid river. Beckler River Road has lots of options.
