Looks like the Elwha is high. Is the gauge reading correctly and what would be a good high level? Anyone keen on getting it this year.? Can we paddle through the old Dam area?  Any infoon this anyone?

The Road is closed because of the flooding this year so there is no access. not sure what the projected completion date is.

Road repairs have begun with estimated completion in Oct. 2016. The damage is on Olympic Hot Springs Rd. which is past the turnoff for Whiskey Bend and the trailhead for the Grand Canyon. Frustrating the NPS closed the road at the park entrance effectively closing the entire Valley. But, relieved to hear construction has started and nothing is lost.
