IMO the "Big Stack" is a terrible design. I had one for several years and was cussing it every time I used it.

When you are trying to put boats on both sides it is a huge pain, the straps are always catching on the hooks. In fact, they are always catching on the hooks when you are even trying to just put boats on one side.

big stack sucks. It's heavier and more complicated, not sure why they even sell it.

+1 for the cheaper ones.

Looks like the recommendation is to get the Thule from what people are telling me on FB.

Gold, aluminum, single-post Yakima stackers and rope - the only way to go!

I don't like the Thule ones, they leave a big gap:

Yakima ones spin down really quick and easy, just push:

You don't want big gaps, every inch counts! If someone can show me a Thule with 16 kayaks on a Neon, maybe I'll change my mind...

I think Yakima are cheaper, I think the bars are stronger too.]

Nate,
I have a couple of the Yakima stackers that I'd sell ya for 40 bucks.
Also have bars and towers if you need.
PM me if interested.
