I'm getting settled into living in VA and am trying to find people to get out on some rivers with. Does anyone know of an online forum similar to PP that east coast boaters use to connect with other boaters?
Thanks for the help and hope mother nature turns the water on for you guys!!

Boatertalk tends to be more focused on the SE (NC, GA, TN, etc). There are a couple of other mid-atlantic boards that are good resources. The DC area board is Paddle Prattle:

Coastal Canoeists is another board for VA area: http://www.coastals.org/forum/
When I moved to DC and didn't know anyone, I posted on Paddle Prattle and ended up meeting some of my best friends ever. Lots of friendly paddlers in that area.

WV Creek Visuals on FB is a good place to find boaters if you are headed to WV, which you should be. Also, swimmers anonymous is a group that is mostly comprised of east coast boaters. I think there is a DC site called paddle prattle at the site monocacycanoe.org.
