Hi,
This is the word on the eddyline as of yesterday:
According to someone definitely in the know it is very important for those of us opposed to the proposed Hydropower 'Improvement' Act to make a comment directly to Senator Maria Cantwell.
This takes literally one minute:

I filed my comment under 'Energy' .
And the suggested comment was:
I oppose S. 1236, the Hydropower Improvement Act.

I just heard from someone in the know that our pols are more likely to pay attention after they have received 10 letters about it. I'm sure that's not a magic number but it's a data point and also a very small number considering how many people read stuff on PP... If everyone who read the Upper Upper Cispus thread wrote to Senator Cantwell I think it would make a huge difference.
(That was a good thread, IMO. I'm just saying, about a billion people read it.)
The Senate Energy and Natural Resources (What Is Left Of Them) Committee is chaired by Lisa Murkowski, R from Alaska. Where they want to put the world's 2nd tallest dam on the Susitna River. I think there's cause for concern.
