I see on Facebook that Washington's own Darren A is in 6th place in the AWP World Series rankings. He's only one Green Race away from bringing it home.  Just writing to publicly encourage his attendance.

Maybe we should start a fundraiser to help him get over there?

If it was a bikini car wash I know that Dan would attract the ladies, and Tobin wears girls clothes....

I'll wear a bikini to get Darren to Ashville.

If you guys manage to get Darren to Asheville he can use the Greenboat that I have stashed in my rental house there. I am not making it this year. Let me know; happy to help and think it would be awesome to have Darren show up and smoke em!

Also there are many boaters in Asheville that would be willing to give him a place to stay while there for the race. The community ALWAYS opens their doors for folks that come from far away to put their time down/go fast take chances.

Um... I'd pitch in $20 for a plane ticket for Darren. Its all I got but if it would help...

Darren, I think you should go.

Jon Crain, can I get your number? If tickets are at a fair price tomorrow I'm probably gonna head out there. I am able to borrow a Nomad from Dagger, however they don't have any Green boats available.
Thanks,
Darren

Booked my ticket today. My wife is pretty awesome. She is going to take care of the kids so I can fly out the Saturday before the race and spend a week learning the Green Race lines. Hopefully there is water released most of the days so I can actually get some laps in.
Thanks for the motivation Andrew. Hopefully I can represent for the PNW. Louis Geltman went out last year and posted a 6th place finish for the PNW. Pretty impressive.

Good luck Darren, that's awesome you get a full week to train.

Yes, Darren!! Good luck, man!! You have what it takes! Even if you don't get the whole week to burn up laps, maybe the time can be spent in some other forms of race prep.

Godspeed, man
(I always wanted to say that)

Well it looks like someone is being clever, everytime I cut and paste the link it changed "facecrook" to "facecrook".

Just copy the link and change it to facecrook.

6th place in the world not to bad! red shack sold 2 copy's in the time period, not enough to by a ticket to Ashland next year but maybe enough to take the family out for ice cream. congrats on the Grand Prix invite also

What makes it even crazier is I think that the first person on that list from 1st down with gainful employment is number 6. Lets think about that one for a second... Juggling a family, full time job and getting enough time in the saddle to get ranked 6th in the WORLD.

That's  pretty damn sick if you ask me.

Well done.

Haha, that is pretty ironic, Danimal-

Yo Darren, congratulations!! That is a worthy accomplishment, indeed.
Way to go. Glad you rallied the Green Race.
