This is the 65 degrees in Leavenworthless discussion thread. Please post any questions below.

Remember the actual Trip Details are located on the 65 degrees in Leavenworthless | Trip Page

Mr Wigston and myself will be in Leavenworth if anyone wants to get some tummy laps in. Prolly around noon unless people are motivated to rally earlier.

It should be another beautiful day in Der Town. There are people meeting around 10:30-11:00am at LMS to paddle Tumwater with Stephen Wright and then heading to Crossfit Cashmere for a video premier.

If you don't know where you are going, any road will get you there.

Wait a second.  I was told Tumwater is a "playboat" run.  I don't see a lot of playboats out there.  And D1 of all people...

I remember the days when we would walk through the snow barefoot, jump onto innertubes wearing shorts and only a coconut shell for a helmet.  Kids now got it too easy... next I bet they start wearing them foam vests like those nancy's did back in the day...

That was a good day.  We cheated and ran the right side too.  Pussies.

Personally, I see no point in playboating Tumwater maybe unless you can hit every single move and catch every single eddy in a creek boat and now you are bored.   I playboated it for years and then switched to my creek boat because there is no real play and moves just feel way cooler in a creek boat. I find new micro eddies and boofs everyday we are out there because I am in a creek boat which provides the necessary speed. To each there own but I much prefer a smooth gliding draw stroke to boof stroke in my creek boat versus windmill paddling in my playboat any day.

I agree with ya ... different strokes fer different folks. I think for myself it is more level dependent. At a certain level there is more play than one might realize (rock splats, little wheel holes, catch on fly waves etc...) but again certainly creek boat appropriate...
