This is the PP Ball Upper Tummy run discussion thread. Please post any questions below.

Remember the actual Trip Details are located on the PP Ball Upper Tummy run | Trip Page

This run is short, sweet and is a good diversion from some of the more crowded runs.  The rin takes about an hour so will be easy to make to the Icicle afterwards if you want to watch/join the race.

What do you mean by "Upper Tumwater"? Perhaps you should specify the put-in/take out. You know it'll be screamin high. Are you taking out above "The Wall"?

You may get more nibbles if you're trip is defined more to attract the appropriate people.
Lookin forward to seein ya, Tom.

The Upper Tummy puts in at the bridge over the Wenatchee above Tumwater canyon.
Take out is the sandy beach above the Wall.
Good run, Metro is a kick ass ride, and Cherry Hole is goodness.
Remember you won't go over Metros first wave, tuck baby tuck

The run will be high, but still very runnable.  The major hazard as the levels go up is the potential for a long swim.  If you are comfortable running the main Wenatchee at a given flow you will probably be comfortable running this at the same flow. The character of this run is different but the difficulty level is similar.  The takeout is about 1/2 mile above the Wall.  Don't forget, we are meeting at the put in.

Scout your take out (the take out beach mentioned is gone at those levels).  At those levels even the "flat water" is moving out so be sure to catch the take out eddy which will be in the trees/bushes or paddle/swim hard as the Wall will be macking at those levels.

So true, if you are nervous it is possible to take out just above the last rapid.  The carry to the car is about the same either way.  We will take a look at this before the run so people can make their decision.
