Topic: Need Sprayskirt : Fuse 48 Posted: 18 May 2009 at 11:15am |
I have a Wavesport Fuse 48 and I love it; however, I take on a lot of water. I can actually feel it coming in over the top of my thighs. Currently, I am using a Snapdragon large deck skirt. While this same skirt works well on my Diesel 65, it doesn't seem to work well with the Fuse 48. So, I am looking for a new, drier skirt experience. Do you boat a Fuse 48 and have a dry skirt? What do you use? Thanks!

Deb,
I have a few of the Electric Water spray decks left over from my time with BS.
it is a very dry skirt and bomber construction. Since I am not boating, if you want to try it out, you can use mine.
I am selling them for my cost $165

I will just let anyone that is curious know. The bliss-stick spray deck is the driest deck I have ever used. I have snapdragons and I have used a nookie, w/ and w/out the extra neoprene around the edges. Nothing compares to that bliss-stick deck. I was on the middle middle the other day when it started to rain and drop temps pretty quick, I only had a pair of shorts & dry top on, I was pretty bummed and cold. I played a little, not too much, but when I got off the run, my shorts were still pretty much dry!!!
This weekend on the Wenatchee I stayed pretty much dry too... even with Leif trying to tear my skirt off during paddleBattle, of course with temps around 85 it was not so critical...

Tobin, This is a great offer and very generous. I have worried about buying something before trying. I will send you a separate note to line things up. And for all the naysayers, if I end up sporting a Bliss-stick skirt, then I will be singing the praises of staying dry. Thanks!
James - I never heard it called "paddlebattle". I thought it was "rip and dip".
