I am with James.  And unlike James, I can covet and touch without breaking any of God's commandments.

I was just having fun... I would not want anyone to ever think that I would make light of my nuptial obligation and fastidious dedication to the woman that makes me whole!

But in response to Leif.... in biblical and lawful terms, said female would need to be consenting which may pose a completely separate dilemma!!! Muhahahah

Woah.  Thank heaven for Heather Herbeck and a girls only night!  However, you yahoos had better stay far away.  If you think you can come, you're totally missing the point.

Gordon,
Let me know how many boats you will be short this year, and I'll haul them over.
Some guys gotta get a peek
Last year was a beautiful site. 25+ women sitting in kayaks.

Tobin may need someone with a truck with a large kayak rack on it to haul the boats

Hello,
I'm very new to boating and need to learn how to roll... Is this a good opportunity with someone to give me some pointers or should I find some sort of Instructor...... I was thinking of going tomorrow night (mon.) and trying to give it a shot. I have a boat and equipment. But am very new. I paddled the Green today and lets just say it was interesting, not ever being in a boat before. Any help on this would be appreciated.
Thanks
-A

Thanks,
I had a good time today but a major learning curve... I really can see the need for this skill, instead of flailing underwater then bailing out and going for a swim.

Did you have to walk down to your boat?
If you did, you are now a tri-athelete! Anyone can kayak and swim, it takes a special person to be a tri-athelete.
Kayak
Swim
Hike

All in good fun, we all have taking our learning beatdowns, and then they progress to your 'I know what i am doing beatdowns'
Then the 'I do know what I am doing Ass whoopins!'

Immediately followed by the "BOOTIE"  maybe you shouldn't learn to roll? Right of Passage dictates that as soon as you know how to roll, you must pay homage to the river gods by drinking the nectar of the Gods (beer) from the single fowlest item in my kit. The bootie.
  Cheers

I would like to point out that the UPS kayak club does pool sessions, not instruction.

However, beginners are always welcomed with open arms.  I have yet to see a beginner get turned down when asking for help.  So yea, I'd be a great place to learn to roll!

STL,
Is it not a good idea for me to come down and practice in the pool without having some instruction first? Who/ where can I find a teacher?
Is going to the pool by myself and trying it out not advised.

It really is a great idea for you you to come to our session, you are very welcome and i'm sure you can get some instruction.  I don't think that there is a better pool session in the NW for you.

The point I was trying to make is that we have had people join us and assume that instruction is part of the pool session.  Officially we do not offer instruction, but once you come to the session you will see how many friendly people are willing to give you some pointers.

Like I said before, I have never seen someone get refused help, so I hope to see you around tonight.
