So something that I want this year is have a flatwater rodeo at UPS.  I have a bunch of great ideas and think the turnout could be awesome.  A lot of people wouldn't have thought about a flatwater rodeo, but i got the idea from rodeo competitions back in st. Louis.

Anyway, I want to organize some sweet prizes, and have music / food

Events that I am thinking about are...

Flatwater rodeo
-two 45 second heats, 3 judges scoring on style n entertainment, not some rubric

Pull a swimmer race
-race across the pool with a swimmer getting dragged behind your boat
-2 man teams
-the catch, the swimmer you drag is NOT your teammate

Big Air
-boat tossing
-teams of up to 5 people bounce and toss a boater up in the air and they do a trick
-big trick wins

Best flatwater trick
-throw is big, throw it down
-20 seconds to throw your biggest and nastiest

any comments, suggestions?

I would love to have some help with some part of this whether it be music, food or prizes

Thanks,
Gordon

#1 is that you can't have a flatwater rodeo without a swak off.

I can't believe that was not listed considering the birthplace of the sport!

and another thought is that you should really have 2 flatwater rodeo's one with a paddle and one with hands only.
