Killer weekend.  Amazingly hospitable hosts, great boating, nearly carnage free, good food, a hot tub, ping pong, and a birthday boy.

Tobin, that sponge is mine.  You can just hang on to it and I'll pick one up from the hardware store.

I'll post my images and videos in the next few days.

Yep, got em, I'll bring them on Thursday.

Noone can say enough about the hospitality that the Olson family extend to the kayaking community. I don't know anyone but them that will open up their home and their lives they way they do to anyone with a kayak on the roof.
Within 2 minutes of driving in the driveway, you feel at home and comfortable,
Great People, and an amazing home.

Sure?

Does the Olson Family run a business or are they just some people that truly enjoy their house and home being surrounded by wet boater debauchery?

They LOVE wet stinky, beer soaked kayaker scum!!  Mike Olsen is a hair boater, he is an artist that  makes totam poles from his home. They are absolutely amazing!
Seriously, the river isn't the best part of the Lewis area, its the Olsens.
Sure?

Yeah tobin is spot on.  The Olsen Family went out of their way to make sure we felt at home. from the use of their private riverfront cabins, to the shuttles, hot food ready after we got off the river, use of their hot tub ... The experience as a whole was wonderful!!!

Awesome weekend.  Great seeing all the people there, boating or not.  It was interesting to see that boaters could have just as good of a time with out much alcohol.  The food, top notch! Thanks to tobin and lief for heading the way on the pastas, and thanks to the olsens for the delicious fish and chili.  And thanks Ashley for the gooey goodness brownies, even though they lacked the special ingredient.   Good times.  The olsen's hospitality definitely goes down in history, good vibes and karma to them!
