Let me know if you need some pallets. I have more than enough ready for pick up.

I'm heading up with a group from 8/17 to 8/26. We'll start in the Nahatlach area, head up to the Clearwater, down to the Bridge and end up in/around Whistler. I'd love to hook up with people. Let's start a contact list for people who will be up in the area this month.
I can be reached at 425 301 8538. Given how far out in the woods we'll be I suggest using text messaging rather than voice.

Bryon,
Hey, I'm glad you are going to be up there. I am going to try to arrange it so I can maybe stay a couple more days and paddle with you and your group after that weekend.

Hey, I'm interested. Been with family for a couple weeks, though (in a hot, dry state), so will be looking for mostly III/III+, especially in Whister/Squamish area and possibly add some climbing in, too. Any of you hoping to do some runs like that? My dates are pretty flexible, including week days.

Trip Details might be changing. Just keep your heads up. I might be heading somewhere else with D1 if the flows change. I will keep the trip updated as the week continues.

D1 is officially calling it quits up at Whistler.
The flows on the Callaghan are now too low and the flows on the Cheak are low also. There are a few other creeks in the area that Dave is going to check out but the chances are that he will be heading back to the states by Thursday at the latest.
This means that whister is not going to be the spot to hit, and if anyone is really into BC we will need to plan a good destination out before just heading up.

John - Its now a nat/stien/bridge trip.
Bridge is most likely too low, and the Chili is definitely out. But Nat and others are good to go. I am going to head up there Thursday night and we will camp at the apocynum campground. Boat all day Friday and either camp again at the apocynum or somewhere else group depending.

I don't think the bridge is ever unrunnably low. There's a minimum fish release from the dam + flow from yalokum, we've gone in mid late august and been able to run the bridge before.
definitely minimum flow, but it's still fun splashy III mostly, with only a couple significant drops.

The Cheak is too low? Now I am pissed...I tried to get a trip up there together...and now you are telling me it is too late this season? What gives - it should be running for another month, shouldn't it?
I am game for a Nahatlatch trip - I'll probably take of Friday and return on Sunday.

Justin and I will head up from Bellingham Friday after work. We'll probably get to the campground around 9pm depending on the boarder. We have room for 1 other person if anyone wants to carpool, but we are bringing the dog! We are game for other rivers, but plan to head home Sunday evening for work on Monday. The Nahatlatch should be fun!

Ok so here it is everyone.... the campsite we are going to be staying at is actually farther up the nahatlatch road on the lake. I like staying on the water. We will be running the river all day friday and sat, so just find the van and you will be set. To get to the Nahatlatch follow these directions: - Take Highway #1 east, the Trans Canada Highway, through Abbottsford, Chilliwack and on to Hope.
- Exit #170 at Hope and Fraser Canyon Destinations.
-
Follow the signs through Hope town centre and resume on Highway #1 east
through the Fraser Canyon. Do not take Highway #3 or #5.
- In
Boston Bar, turn left opposite Young's gas station. Cross over the
railroad tracks and the Fraser River and proceed north through the town
of North Bend. Stay on the main road for around 11 miles or so. Maybe 12. The Canyon run take out is around mile 4, the canyon run putin is around mile 9, the playrun putin where we are camping is around mile 12 or 13 something like that.
See yas there!

My group is going to be in the area Monday and maybe Tuesday if anyone wants to stay later. Unfortunately family obligations keep me in town until Sunday.

Posting here too to make sure I cover everyone...
I have a blue "tripod" seat someone left at the camp site. Somebody please claim it, as it is remarkably uncomfortable.

I think that Tripod is Franz Horner's....
Thanks everyone for showing up. It was an awesome trip. The first run of the day was a bit un-organized and there were some improvements to be made for round 2. But the second go around was awesome. Some raft carnage, a few swimmers and some sweet lines through the Nozzle.
Great job out there everyone and a big thanks to Brad for hooking up the raft for the second run, it was much needed! The drive over Kookapei Pass is awesome. Great views awesome creeks and quite remote. Big Silver was sweet and certainly deems another visit with more water. Over all I had a blast and I hope you all had a good time too.
Till the next adventure!
