What: 32 Day Vertical Challenge & Fundraiser. Compete for prizes in 4 divisions (Open, Class IV, Class III, Weekend Warrior). The event is simple, teams of up to 5 paddlers, paddle as many runs as possible during the 32 days, at the end of the event, teams in each division with the most vertical feet are crowned champions and win great prizes. All donations raised go to First Descents a kayaking program for young adults with cancer.

When: May 15 - June 15, 2007 – online registration is open now!!!

Where: Open to all paddlers, from all states, of all skill levels

Event Details: http://www.eddyflower.com/VerticalChallenge.aspx
Go here for Registration, FAQs, Rules, Division breakdown, Sponsors, how to raise funds for First Descents and to see which teams have already registered.

Eligible Run List: http://www.eddyflower.com/VerticalChallenge.aspx?VCPage=vertical
Please let us know what runs are not in our 'Vertical' list you want to run and we'll make sure to get them entered for you. If you paddle a run during the event that isn’t listed, no problem, just shoot us an email and will get the run put-in and take-out elevation listed so we can automatically calculate the vertical feet.

Cheers,
EddyFlower

My friend runs the EddyFlower.com paddling website.  he just started putting together info on WA this month.

There is a Vertical Challenge contest for teams getting the most gradient.  it is divided up by classes, weekend warriors, etc.  Your team will have the chance to win some schweet schwag.  he really, really wants a team from WA on there.

if you don't see a run on the list, email the site and i know that it will get put on.
