This is the The Sky is Falling discussion thread. Please post any questions below.

Remember the actual Trip Details are located on the The Sky is Falling | Trip Page

Deborah and I will be paddling some new boats on Saturday and it looks like the forecast for the Sky is favorable - about 3000 cfs.  We'll meet at Big Eddy @ 11AM and put in at Cable drop.  If anyone wants to just run the Split-Rock to BE section, we'll probably be through Split Rock around 1:30 or so.

A couple of points of note:
1) Deborah baked some yummy snacks.
2) While I am ready to try BD, not at 3K in a new boat for my first attempt.  So there will definitely be some portaging.
3) Deborah and I will be at Sultan Bakery @ 10AM for breakfast.  Please join us if you like.

Arn hasn't had these treats for two years.  So, come early or he may have devoured them all!  Funny thing --- they require no baking prowess at all (but don't tell him).

Unless someone wants to do a creek other than the Robe (like the lower Tye), I'll be up for a sky run.

Arn and Deb,

Some others including Jimmy are meeting at 10am at Big Eddy.  It's a good group going.  Would you consider changing  the meeting time?

Courtney,
Thanks for the note.  This afternoon, Dave, Alan and I talked about the fact there are two trips.  I posted last night at midnight and they sent an email this morning (but neither of us knew of the other trip till this afternoon).  I think we have so many people going tomorrow that we decided it is just as well to keep two groups (of probably 10 paddlers) instead of one mega group!

But, only those that paddle with us at 11 get Deborah's yummy treats!

See you guys soon.

Looking forward to the trip tomorrow. I haven't done this run yet, so I'll probably be following you guys down and definitely portaging BD. I hope you don't mind having an upper-sky rookie along.

All -

I really enjoyed the trip today. Thanks for the tips on how/where to run the various drops. I hope to paddle with you again soon.
