Kidding, kidding! Put down the torches!

I ran the Main Sky with Colorado Adam on Sunday, and was once again schooled at Boulder Drop (in Airplane Turn of all places). I made my roll, but maybe the River Gods are reminding me not to mouth off.

Dont mess with the river gods!!!   I think BD is always class IV if you can drag a boat down it.
Class grading is all relative to the person,  I ran that streatch 50+ times last spring/ summer, from 1500, to 11 k .  Then I got my ass kicked at a low run in October.
I have no idea about the class V thing,, at really high water, everyone takes Mercy,, and that is not V.  Down the gut has to be but whos going to do that.
Ihave seen someone run left center at around 11k.  Does anyone know about that line?

Sure?

Every boater I know has had a good beatdown or swim in that drop at some point in their kayaking career.  I boated 120 days in 2005, ran at least 50 class V runs that year and one of my two swims for the year was an uber beat down in Neds at the low level of 3000 cfs. Gotta respect that drop.

Ahh, good to hear I'm not the only one who got stomped.  I never gave the rapid much thought till I got beat down running Ned's at 3k couple months ago. Had to actively swim to get out of the damn thing......was not fun.

It can be worse to swim at lower lvls, Try it at 200 cfs We'll see how well you know the drop. Or how well it get's to know you!!
There's no such word as can't!so stop making excuses!!!!
