So yesterday I went up to FITW to do some hiking with Lydia. The run was on the super low side and I would not have wanted to run it ....

THeres new wood at the top of FITW proper and some wood in other places along the run but the other wood is not blocking the river, its just new.

On the way out of the Pass I pulled up next to a truck just as we were entering Issaquah. I look up on his roof and what do I see.... 2 Open Boats with Stern and Hull Float bags and all.

I flipped them the super metal sign and they were kind enough to return wave even though I had no boats on top.

Right on guys... If your out there reading this.... rAD Dudes ... Rad ... Im diggin the open boatin.

There are some good canoers in the area, we are members of the canoe club here also, however I don't fall into the category of "good" canoer, I just enjoy it.

They may have been on the SF Snoq with us (not with us, but at the same time as us).  There were a couple of open boaters going down the weir about the time we were if my memory serves me correctly.  In fact, I think I have a picture of one of them going through that I'll post when I get an opportunity.

Hi Claudius,

My husband Jimmy and I are members of Paddletrails too.  We both open boat whitewater on class III and sometimes low IV.  Most of the time you'll see us in our kayaks though.  Hopefully we'll see you all out there on a club trip sometime as well as at some of the events.

Claudius... Rad ... I just finished up watching that Open Boater video on Utube so when I saw you on I90 I could not help but flash the metal and scream aloud in my car.

I was pretty stoked to get a flash back and wondered if you guys would figure out that I am a boater too not just some maniac on the freeway.... well I guess I'm that too. lol
