I am taking a look at a riot turbo 47 this coming weekend and was wondering if anyone out there had some firsthand experience or knowledge about the boat. I know what the riot website say and some specs, but I want real knowledge. I also know that Riot boats can be "selective" - to quote Jon D. - about who they let fit into there boats.

Thanks,

Gavin

Well I am 6' 3" and have size 15's.... I fit in the Air 55 like a glove.

Well more like a small glove on a fat lady that is having a allergic reaction, but still it works.

My advice: Check the following in this order

  • Length and Volume (Is it going to do what you want it to do, ie loop, wheel, or boof etc....)
  • Comfort & Outfitting (Are you willing to log some hours to get it just right?)
  • Color and Look (Just get a boat you pickly little girly girl)
Just about any boat can be made to be comfy if you initially fit. I have molded Plastic on boats and done other things, and it might take work, but I would rather have Function over Feeling!!!

My personal Opinon : Don't get the Turbo... it is a middle of the road design, stuck halfway between hardcore play and river running. I am looking at that Flair57.... looks cool. Member that is just my opinon and I don't care much for river running..... I dig the Play.

Jon,

Seriously, is there a pool session at wedgewood tonight?

I'll probably call you in like thirty minutes anyway.
