I find myself free the final two weeks of January and need to get out of town for some boating. I'm trying to round up a crew at this point. In terms of destination, here's what I'm thinking:

 

Crooked River - Central Oregon.

     This is a 20 mile class IV run through a beautfiul canyon in Central Oregon. It does not run very often, but is in now. With luck it'll still be flowing next week. Check out the writtup from the 2004 trip.

 

 

Portland Area

     It's pissing rain across the Pacific Northwest, and it's a perfect time to hit all those Oregon rivers we've been talking about (Hood, Quartzville Creek, Opal Creek just for starters).
