There is a tree spanning the main channel in the 2nd rapid below Paradise ledge on the lower Green gorge. This is the rapid with the coal car.

The tree is wedge diagonally from a large rock near the right bank to a large rock near the left. At 1200 cfs it is just under the water and has many large branches poking up.

At 1200 cfs there were sneak routes on left and right. The left sneak is larger and while tight, was big enough for rafts to get through. The move to make the sneak lines isn't terribly difficult, but consequenses are bad for missing your line. I would caution against taking beginner/intermediate boaters down this stretch until this wood washes out.

Recommend you scout as you approach this rapid.

If you want to run the lower gorge and not deal with this wood, you can take the trail down to Kay's landing and put-in there, that will put you in below the wood.

Thanks for the update. Is it still presenting a hazard, or likely to move again?
