This is a plea. The Hill is pressing Trump to propose three FERC nominees. Upon approval of one, FERC will have a quorum to resume business (right now they are one member short). Trump has leaked names of three nominees who are likely to "represent status quo for big players.", according to Utility Dive on 27 Mar.

Please contact your senators Today and ask that they *only approve an unbiased and objective Nominee*.

In Washington, Senator Cantwell is a ranking member of the US Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources. She might especially benefit from input that FERC needs to have utmost objectivity when ruling on all projects it governs, but especially in matters impacting the rivers and fish.

Senator Cantwell: (202) 224-3441 : www.cantwell.senate.gov/public/index.cfm/email-maria

Senator Murray: (202) 224-2621 www.murray.senate.gov/public/index.cfm/contactme

All US Senators of 115th Congress https://www.senate.gov/senators/contact/

Thank you in advance for taking the time to influence the potential care government takes with our natural resources.

Disclaimer...this information came to me via Sunset Falls SnoPUD hydro-electric project update/request and is not intended to be a broad political statement.

It has been suggested that because it appears that the current nominees for the open FERC commission align with business over environment, that a goal would be to slow FERC down. If they can't have a quorum they can't approve projects, like Sunset Falls.

It is also my understanding that time is of the essence in persuading senators not to vote for current nominees.

Thank you.

Thanks, Renee!!!!

You are awesome for taking initiative, and setting a great example. I have been pretty damn busy lately but am coming back around to this important issue because now is a time to act again...

Paddlers- if you love these rivers you have to TAKE A STAND and FIGHT TO PROTECT THEM!

YOU have to step up to the plate- you can't sit back and expect others can do it for you because it takes thousands of voices for David to Defeat Goliath. It takes ALL OF US to speak out because "The River Can't Speak For Itself"

Got that? These actions only take a few minutes of your time but they require punctuated, timely action. Now is such a time.

Please share this via Facebook- someone- anyone- everyone who sees this.

I am composing another thread right now regarding American Rivers' declaration that the Skykomish river is rated #3 threatened river in the U.S.

Stay Tuned. Keep stroking to that lip and be ready to rip that Boof stroke with the authority The River has itself invested in your soul!!!!

Thanks, jP for your insertion of energy! Yes, we need people to contact their senators.

Lora Cox gets full credit here, she is taking a fabulous lead on Sunset Falls project, and tipped us off about FERC's precarious position without a quorum.

The primary issue here, now, is that we need an objective FERC commission, for ALL projects it rules on and has purview over.

I hope everyone finds time to call or write their senators to express their expectations for FERC commissioners - no more dams, no more oil. Let's vote for non-compromising, sustainable energy.

Thanks again, Rp
